AI Automation Specialist

São Paulo, Brazil (Hybrid) · Contractor (PJ) Full-Time · Fluent English Required

This is a builder role. If your AI experience is limited to prompting LLM or configuring no-code tools, this is not the right fit. We need someone who writes code, builds integrations, and ships production-grade automation systems.

What you'll do

• Design and build AI-powered workflows and automations that improve how WorldEd operates across departments, from Registrar and Finance to Customer Success and Academic Services.
• Analyze business processes across departments, identify inefficiencies, and redesign them into structured, automated workflows
• Write and maintain production-quality Python/JS code for automation, data transformation, API integrations, and internal tooling
• Build and orchestrate AI agent workflows for structured business tasks, with validation steps that ensure consistent, reliable outputs
• Integrate internal systems using APIs, webhooks, and automation platforms such as n8n
• Design safeguards into every workflow: approval gates, exception handling, audit trails, and rollback procedures
• Document all workflows, SOPs, and implementation logic so systems remain maintainable regardless of staffing changes

What we're looking for

• 3+ years building workflow automations, internal tools, or AI-powered systems in a production environment
• Strong Python/JS coding ability: you write production-quality scripts, not just prototypes
• Experience building AI workflows that produce consistent, structured outputs, including prompt engineering, output validation, and error handling
• Ability to work with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and structured data to connect and synchronize multiple systems
• Process thinking: you can map an end-to-end business process and redesign it into something scalable
• Clear documentation habits: SOPs, workflow diagrams, and technical handoffs come naturally to you

Not for you if...

• Your AI experience is prompting and configuring, not coding and building
• You build one-off solutions and move on without documenting or designing for maintainability
• You prefer handing off problems over owning them through resolution
