What does an AI Agent Specialist do at WPP Production?

We are looking for a dedicated professional to kick off a production unit focused on the creation, training, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of AI agents for local clients. This is the hub's inaugural role: the person hired will be the technical foundation of the operation and, as projects scale, will naturally step into a leadership position over the growing team.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Configure, train, and fine-tune AI agents within our proprietary system (WPP Open) and on external platforms, depending on each project's scope.
• Map client requirements and translate business needs into functional, scalable agent architectures.
• Build and maintain RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines, knowledge bases, and API integrations.
• Monitor agent performance in production, identify deviations, and drive continuous improvement.
• Document processes, architectural decisions, and operational manuals to ensure knowledge transfer as the team grows.
• Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to ensure agents deliver results aligned with each brand's identity.
• Actively participate in technical presentations to clients when needed.
• As the hub scales: structure processes, onboard new team members, and take on technical coordination.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders

This role reports to the Production Lead in Brazil. You will work closely with Creative Teams, Strategy Teams, and other Global Teams. As the hub grows, you will lead the AI Agents team.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Fluent English Level.
• Hands-on experience configuring and deploying LLM-based AI agents in production environments.
• Advanced prompting skills, including chain-of-thought, few-shot learning, and behavioral control techniques.
• Experience fine-tuning LLMs (LoRA, RLHF, or similar approaches).
• Solid knowledge of LLM APIs: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or equivalents.
• Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar.
• Ability to build and maintain RAG pipelines with vectorization and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, pgvector, etc.).
• Python proficiency at the level needed to integrate, automate, and debug AI solutions.
• Experience integrating external tools via REST APIs and webhooks.
• Hands-on mindset: able to plan and execute independently, without relying on a full team to deliver results.

• Clear communication with non-technical profiles: able to translate technology for clients and creative teams.
• Organization: capable of managing multiple agents and projects in parallel with rigorous documentation.
• Technical curiosity: actively keeps up with the fast-moving AI ecosystem.
• Product mindset: doesn't just deliver what was asked — understands the client's goal and proposes the best path forward.

Differential

• Experience with WPP Open or other proprietary systems from large communications groups.
• Background in advertising agencies, production companies, or marketing and communications firms.
• Knowledge of automation and workflow tools: n8n, Make (Integromat), Zapier.
• Experience with multimodal agents (processing images, audio, or video beyond text).
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects under tight deadlines.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring other developers.
